Putting your logo on a can: preparing print data correctly
Most delays come from the files, not the design. This checklist gets your artwork through on the first attempt.

Vector, not pixels
Your logo should be an AI, EPS or PDF file with fonts converted to outlines. A PNG from a slide deck is not enough: printing covers the full surface at high resolution, so every soft edge shows.

Define colours in CMYK
Screen colours are RGB, print colours are CMYK. Supply your brand colours as CMYK values, otherwise conversion is guesswork. Bright blue, orange and neon green shift the most.
Bleed and safety zones
The print wraps around the can. Top and bottom have zones where the artwork distorts or overlaps. Key elements – logo, claim, contact – belong in the calm body zone. Our PDF and InDesign templates already include bleed and safety zones.

Test first, then approve
